Latihan Soal Pronouns Bahasa Inggris Part IV ; Reflexive Pronouns

Reflexive Pronouns adalah kata ganti yang  merupakan pantulan dari bentuk Pronouns itu sendiri. Disebut juga dengan kata ganti refleksif.

Untuk lebih jelas mengenai bentuk reflexive pronouns, berikut tabelnya,

Keterangan 

*** Bentuk yourself digunakan untuk bentuk tunggal sedangkan bentuk yourselves untuk bentuk jamak.

Contoh kalimat

• I did my homework by myself. (saya mengerjakan PR sendiri)
• I can't help help you. You have to solve your problem by yourself. (kamu harus menyelesaikan masalahmu sendiri)
• He drove to Surabaya himself. (Dia menyetir sendiri ke Surabaya)
• She went on holiday by herself. (Dia pergi liburan sendirian)

Reflexive pronouns dapat diletakkan sesuadah Noun atau Pronouns itu sendiri. Peletakan ini ditujukan untuk lebih menegaskan atau memberikan tekanan (emphasize). 

Contoh :

• Faiz himself repaired the computer. (Faiz sendiri yang memperbaiki komputer)
• Alya herself who gave me the gift. (alya sendiri yang memberikan hadiah kepada saya)
